Memory remap still needs 8GB motherboard by: Anonymous
The memory remap feature still needs a motherboard that supports more than 4GB memory. By default the motherboard will likely map the add in cards to the top of the 4GB memory space. Then you would simply tell the BIOS to push them to the top end of the 8GB or whatever else the motherboard supports.
In a motherboard that only supports 4GB, there would be no memory remap feature in the BIOS.

Have you looked at the memory remap feature toggle switch in BIOS?
This is available in most off the shelf Mobos, not sure if your OEM custom BIOS has that option?
