| Connecting Vista to my cable modem
So, the performance seems a little better compared to last night... I log back in and decide to hook up Vista to my broadband.
I want to connect to the "Ammalgam" network.. my proprietary internal network...so i click on connect...
It starts trying to connect...
Of course I require a password so it asks for one..
I type it in and hit connect....
Successfully connected! Yaay...
What the??? All of a sudden I get this message.. I'm getting a Paul Thurrott flashback...
So all in all...a pretty painless experience I would say (except for the crap message at the end from User Account Control UAC).
Here's my beef. I did this yesterday as well and it didn't save my network connection as promised. It's making me type my very complex network password every time I want to connect...
*Pause, breathe in...this is a beta*
The performance issues got better today.. looking good... feeling sweet....I changed the folder icons and theme back to Windows Classic and I feel better now...
And then the screen froze and my PC crashed...... *sigh*
Till next time,
Adieu..
The Editor...
