Freed from the Matrix
I
was out with my friends the other day at Starbucks and we started talking about
online businesses. They had each dabbled with setting up online ventures and
websites but had never really gotten anything to take off yet.
They all started to ask me how
was I so successful with my online businesses and I explained that there were a
set of principles that were vital for people who wanted to start a successful
web business.
we talked for about 3 hours and they seemed to appreciate it and at the end of
it all I realized that i actually knew a lot about this industry and could help
a lot of people out by sharing those principles here.
Now there are a lot of people who
are extremely web savvy and have areas of expertise in web search, graphic
design, search engine optimization, search campaigns, JavaScript etc etc.
I am not one of those people. I am not an expert in one field. I am an expert in
many.
You see, I learned many of these
areas because well, I had to.
Let me back up a little...3 years ago, I had no knowledge of HTML
whatsoever. In fact I had no idea what html tags were and had never even opened
up FrontPage or Dreamweaver.
I was referred to a comprehensive
package that pretty much changed my life and 3 years later, I single handedly
have 6 websites that attract over 25,000 visitors a day. Not bad huh?
I now design my sites, research my sites, build my sites, market my sites and
profit from all my sites. One man show. No overhead.
All me.
I succeed, all me.
I fail, all me.
I like that.
Over the past three years though I have learned the ups and downs of the web
world (as i call it). I have made the rookie mistakes, hired others to do things
I could have done myself, paid charlatans, bought stupid e-books with no value etc etc.
But now, it all paid off and here you are reading this.
This is going to be the first part of a multi-part series I call "Freed from the
Matrix"
I will walk you through the REALISTIC steps that can help you determine if
A) You understand what the
various components of a successful web business are.
B) You actually like this and want to make this a hobby or business and most
importantly,
C) If you have what it takes to make a web business successful.
I am not selling you an E-Book. I don't need to. I am not pitching you a product
either, that's not necessary. someone took the time to help me get started and I
feel like I owe it to you guys to do the same.
Let's start at the beginning,
Walk with me... (Part 2 coming
soon..) |
