Onuora Amobi Editors Biography and Resume

So, I got a bunch of emails asking more about the editor of this web adventure here. Well, My name is Onuora Amobi. I am Nigerian. I grew up in Lagos Nigeria.

I went to Primary School in Staff School Unilag (University of Lagos).

I then briefly went to school at Orley Farm in South Harrow (the UK), couldn't stand it and came home to Kings College Lagos (KCOB baby!!, Floreat! That makes sense to an elite few out there..)

After extensive travel, I came to the United States in 1990 and attended Drexel University Philadelphia where I graduated with a degree in Management Information Systems and Marketing.

After I graduated, I got a job with Deloitte Consulting (then Deloitte and Touche) and spent a year working out of the Deloitte offices in Philadelphia.

I have always been more of a west coast person and so I promptly moved to California.

I lived in Newport Beach California for a few years and after  a while, the Dot Com temptation became overwhelming and I moved up to Northern California.

I spent the past decade implementing and managing large ERP projects for a living. PeopleSoft was my true love until Oracle... well let's not go there..

I currently reside in Southern California (around Los Angeles) and for my day job I am a Project Manager.

I fell in love with html a couple of years ago and started putting websites together in my spare time. I started with an immigration website (http://www.usvisarequirement). now defunct...

I quickly learned from that site (250 visitors a day) and built another one (http://www.adultsdatingonline.com) now defunct...

I learned some more from that, refined my skills and built my third site and my baby (http://www.PeopleSoft-Planet.com).

My fourth site (http://www.nigeria-planet.com) is my love song and dedication to my country. I LOOOOVE my country and if you visit that site, you'll see what i mean...

Since I obviously love doing this, I hooked up with some friends and built this site here (http://www.windows-vista-update.com).

I love technology and am fascinated by the constant pace of the changes that we techies go through(remember when 40 gig was huge and expensive for storage?)..

Anyway, I am engaged to the love of my life and will be married soon but the sites are my second wife.

For those who are curious, my resume is attached here

My articles are here

That's it. Simple, straightforward.

I love to hear from y'all.

Drop me a line here, keep reading the site and please forward it to your friends.

Later
