Windows Vista and Apple Safari Browser

So I installed Safari for Windows yesterday and was struck by a few things.

1. Maybe it was because it's an Apple install but it seemed to take a little longer to install this browser on Windows. Not a bad thing, just an interesting observation as I install programs all the time. I noticed this on Windows XP and Vista.

2. I HATE the fact that the default configuration of the browser is no status bar at the bottom. It's just a pain in the ass to see web pages with a scroll bar on the right and no bar at the bottom. Maybe I'm just nuts, just me...

3. The graphics are really CRISP and load pretty fast. I was very impressed by the fonts and quality of the browsing experience. It does make you feel like you're on a Mac.

All in all, it's not a bad browser. I was pretty impressed and I may use it from time to time but I am still a Firefox fan.

Regards,

Editor.
