Windows Vista cd dvd burners

In this section of the site, we will discuss the various Windows Vista CD DVD burners or burning programs out there.

As vendors release versions of Vista compatible CD or DVD burners and software, we will bring them to you.

Nero Certified for Windows Vista Logo Quality Program

Nero announces that it has joined Microsoft as an early adopter independent software vendors (ISVs) of the Windows Vista Certified for Windows Vista Logo Program. As participants in the program with its Nero Burning ROM as the pilot application, Nero will adhere to the specific standards created by Microsoft and offer its customers the seamless integration of Nero software into the Windows Vista operating system.

Nero Burning ROM, which is included in the Nero 7 digital media software suite, allows users to quickly and easily burn data, music and video onto discs (CD, DVD, Blu-ray, or HD DVD). Finished discs can be enjoyed on computers as well as all CD (audio content only) and DVD players.

With a comprehensive grouping of powerful applications, Nero 7 is an all-in-one solution for the management of data, audio, video, photo and TV content.

Nero 7 Review (from Download.com)

Though primarily known for its CD- and DVD-burning prowess, the newest version of Nero Ultra proves itself to be a full-fledged media workhorse. We should note the program's downloadable file is big and takes awhile to install; also once Nero is on your machine, it does consume a rather hefty serving of memory. But considering all the application can do, we can only complain so much.

The attractive StartSmart GUI opens a clear path for both beginners and advanced users to every aspect of the software suite. CD- and DVD-burning options are as comprehensive as they come, whether you're working with photos, data, music, or video. Other features let you erase discs; convert audio files; capture video; edit photos; make back-ups; check your hardware specs; and create slide shows, custom audio mixes, and disc covers.

Version 7 takes things one step further with Media Center-like features that allow you to watch and record TV, as well as manage your entire collection of media. We would like a 30-day trial rather than having the demo expire at the end of the month, but if you time it right, you should be able to get plenty of use out of it.

Anyone who uses their computer for entertainment purposes will find Nero Ultra 7 well worth its price tag.
