Apple Airport Won't Connect Wirelessly

by Amanda
(Kansas City)

We've got an Apple Airport for our wireless router (my boyfriend is in love with Mac products).

Heck, I'm in love with Mac products, but for work, I've got a Dell laptop that they provide for me, so I don't complain.

However, I do have a complaint about Vista.

Its willingness to interact with our Airport is so sporadic and moody, I never know if I'm going to be able to check my email in the evening when I get home or not.

Luckily, I have a neighbor with an unsecured wireless connection (don't tell!) so I can usually get some connectivity, but when I've got a super-fast connection merely yards away that I pay for, I want to be able to use it!

Does anyone know about Vista having troubles interacting with the Apple Airport? I get an error that says it is not compatible sometimes, and others it just won't show up in my list of available networks - then an hour or two later I come back and it's connected. It's a mystery!

Any & all answers would be appreciated!!!
