I was shutting down my pc for the day and I noticed that it was saying updates were available to download. So I clicked shut down and installed updates.
The next morning I noticed that windows wouldn't start. It said that a recent change in software/hardware has changed the registry files and it could not find a certain file.
It instructed me to insert my copy of Vista and restart so I did. I had to boot it from the CD to get it to work , and finally it managed to get to a windows screen but it froze.
I had to restart and keep redoing the repair process about 20 times and eventually it worked.
I'm gonna have to turn off Automatic updates from now on. I think i might see if i can dig up an old copy of XP.
