Windows Vista Update

Battlefield 2142 compatibility with vista

i have just bought battlefield 2142 for pc and i have a windows vista.

however it will not let me play. after i download it it says the game has unexpectedly quit.

it says the game was only tested in 32 bit and it says my operating system is incompatible but it tells me how to fix it and it wont work.

does anyone know how to fix it?
