Yep having the same problem... The Last successful update I was able to have was

Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.63.422.0) on 7/27/2009.

The previous installation before that failed

Update for Windows (KB947821)
Installation date: ‎7/‎23/‎2009 2:43 PM
Installation status: Failed
Error details: Code 800706BE
Update type: Important
Fix for KB947821

Have Looked everywhere tried everything.. unregistered reregistering .dll files going into cmd prompt going into regedit everything!! nothing works and its frustrating as heck, glad to see other people are having the same problem maybe someone will finally post a solution!

If you need more info about the problem just ask and I can tell you what my comp is doing!

Common guys... girls... anybody!!
Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Used to update normally but now it stopped and even Windows Defender doesn't update... is it a virus?!
