CLOCK IS SLOW ON WINDOWS VISTA

recently bought a new dell inspiron 1525 with windows vista pre-installed. so far it is working alright... well except for the fact that when the laptop goes on standby automatically and i want to start working it again... the computer freezes and therefore i have to shutdown the laptop manually and re-boot. recently contacted dell who told me to install the media accelerator driver which seemed to resolve the problem. OK SO THAT'S PROBLEM 1 RESOLVED. next issue... the clock is absolutely slow or sometimes too fast!!!!!!!!! i tried setting the correct time but then the next time i restart my laptop it says a different time is not at all up to date!!!!
