RE: Cloning or restoring Vista
by: Allan_EZZY

I purchased Norton Ghost & it works. Ghost is a or has boot able disk for Vista: Reboot by: turn computer off enter BIOS chose CD or DVD drive usually E: insert Ghost DSK: and you are away. I also found (self created error} that restoring computer through Vista's restore program was really simple and easy.

Norton's program allowed may to create a full back up of Vista. I created such to an external HD.

Hope this helps.

The problem I'm rassling with is font and window size in formats such as this. Friging going blind.

Backup and restore of Vista or XP
by: evansvideo

I have used Acronis True Image Home version 11 with total success. Other than my operating system software, Acronis is the most important and valuable software. I send OS images back and forth from an secondary hard drive quite frequently and have never had a problem.
