Gaming is dead

I HAD Vista HomePremium an went back to XP. I could not play the older games like Rise of Nations,Black&White2,The Lord OF The Rings,etc. Vista will have SP1 out the first of the year but will not help on the games.DX10 will go to DX10.1 with new features so there will be new cards put out for that. What is up with Microsoft an the game manifactures???? They want us to but all new games!!!!!!!!
