I'm a gamer. I have a few XP machines but thought I'd buy a laptop to see how Vista looks and performs.
I bought a Gateway MT6707
T2060 processor at 1.60ghz, 2 gig memory, Mobile Intel(R)945 Express video, Microsoft Vista 32 bit Home edition.
I've tried different configurations, like play like XP,2000 etc, I've tried just about every work around mentioned in every gaming community.
I play Freelancer a game microsoft made. I play Age of Empire ...it plays, but with errors. Medieval Wars ...like playing in mud.
I've read that DirectX 10 was the first DirectX to not be fully backwards compatable?
I've seen so many gamers having multiple problems with Vista, that some seriously huge repairs/ patches need to be made in this OS.
So far this OS makes me have fond memories of Windows ME. Yup, thats how bad the situation is.
