dell 1525 vista freeze after every few min

It was working all fine till last 3 days.. I also notice that update gad just happened.. it then simply freezes for few secs to mins after random intervals ranging from 3 mins to 5 mins.. its driving me nuts.., kindly email me if u have nay suggestion titus_abraham@hotmail.com.. os is Vista Home Premium. 3 GB ram
