Don't get Vista unless you want to stop playing existing games

by Terry
(Bath UK)

I upgraded from XP to Vista last week. Now none of my games (Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth, Old Flight Simulators, Rise of the Witch King, Age of Empires) will work.

I uninstall them, reinstall them in compatibility or administrator mode and still, when I press play on the launch screen get the message, "please insert the correct DVD and try again!!!!!!"

I searched the net for this problem and there are sooo many people experiencing this problem.

The "Is your computer suitable for Vista" wizard, never highlights this.

EA Games online support is useless and the instructions from Microsoft Support would make a computer specialist blanche!

TOTALLY PISSED OFF!!!!

Only tip I have is that if you upgrade from XP and have enough disk space, use the dual system option and KEEP XP partitioned when you upgrade so that you can use it to play games!
