don't switch

It takes about 2 hours to first load your new computer.

It takes about twice as long for Vista to just turn on than XP, even after disableing all the crapware and unnecessary programs built into the startup.

Renaming features means you need to relearn where everything is and what it does.

The new start menu has reduced the list of programs to tiny text links in a small window.

User Account Control means you need to verify almost everything you get your computer to do - taking longer to make what should be simple changes.

Media player 11 - you could always share media over a home network, and the funny looking icons make navigation a pain.

Aero is more funny looking than impressive and it is a massive drain on speed. Flip 3D is almost the exact same as Alt-tab. It's best to just disable Aero for much better performance and nicer, cleaner look.

Internet Explorer also thinks it is Windows explorer cluttering your dropdown list with folders when all you want is to find your websites. Vista also randomly deletes files from the dropdown list.

The Sidebar is not a bad idea, does the same job as a folder but it's always open. Vista also randomly rearranges programs in the sidebar and uninstalls them too.

My 40$ Microsoft Vista mouse isn't compatable with Vista.

It took over half an hour to connect with my home network, and only after dragging cables across the house.
