DREAMSCHEMES AND NIGHTMARE SCENES IN 2009

by SELENE KNIGHT

F%^K VISTA

Ok this is my whole disappointment and anger at this whole experience.

First i bought a new sony vaio which came with home premium,i soon discovered i could not out as my desktop display any gif images and to put any non static image i had to upgrade to ultimate.

I believed all the promises and bought the upgrade when i installed and after following all recommended instructions per microsoft i found i could not even use dreamscene,

Everytime i tried everything froze and not even a static display could be placed and the only way to do that was to restart my computer.

Contacted vista support and was first assigned to tim nii ,sent instructions to do a system diagnostic scan in which several display and system registry files were corrupted and were caused by or during the upgrade installation this was stated to me by tim,i was then assigned to simon wu and everything as was the case with tim nothing in the way of a solution was sent to me only guesstamates.

Simon hen said he would send a dvd of ultimate and a clean install would fix corrupted files as well as getting dreamscene to function.

Ultimate was clean installed when i recievied it but to my dismay when installed my areo option which dreamscene is dependent on was missing in the display settings.

I then tried to reinstall my upgrade to ultimate disc only to again be disappointed to see the installation complete 80 percent then get an error message that some components couldnt be configued.

This installation was done after i rolled by my pc to the manufactuer settings which brought my pc to the original setting of home premium.

So I feel cheated that the money i spent on the upgrade didnt provide me with one the app i wanted two corrupted and or damaged files on my new pc,and three i cant even reinstall even after following ALL instructions per microsoft i.e running vista compatibility app,all recommended steps.

This whole nightmare began in may and has not been resolved so it has been almost9 months also my last email recieved from microsoft vista tech was that my case would be closed with a tag of non-resolved and cause unknown, this to me is non acceptable as i was told a tech would stay on my case until it was corrected and my satisfaction as a PAYING customer was achieved.

Now I am left with a upgrade disc not even worth the cost of the plastic it is made from and feelings of being abandoned, cheated and victimized by a corporation who put out a bad product in regards to vista os in all versions and also by taking away my right to choose which os i preferred and in my case that would have been staying with xp,which i was using before i had to buy a new pc already bundles with vista.

Thank you for attending to my concern swiftly which hasnt been the case with the vista techs before.

Whenever i recieved an email from them i replied as soon as it arrivied their response would be like two or three days later and always with a patronizing statment as i was on vacation,i was sick,i was in the hospital.

As a customer I dont really care and dont like excuses only a solution to my concern and although it may seem like a girl with a very hard ambivalent apathetic mindset as a paying customer it is very appropriate and my right to be.

And given how i have been treated since the start of this experience it is of little wonder i have now become very angry and negative to microsoft, windows vista and wish nothing more than to send you back the upgrade software, recieve my money back then go and purchase a apple imac and become an ex-microsoft windows vista user and live happily ever after.
