I am having a similar problem. My "scan to email" feature on my HP Officejet 6400 does not recognize Windows Vista email as a supported email program. Grrr....

Why doesn't someone from Microsoft anwer this question?? I have the same problem. In the office button of Word 2007 the send by email option is not highlighted, i.e. it can't be used. I wish I still had Word 2000 installed, because I use(d) this option a lot.

try sending it as an attachment or in word try saving it as a different file format
