Everytime Windows Update tries to automatically install important Security Updates for Windows Vista,I get a message box telling me that "Some updates were not installed.

Failed: 15 updates.

Error(s) found code 80070490 Windows update has encountered an unknown error." These are the updates that failed to install.

I have tried everything to resolve this issue, but nothing seems to work.

Can you possibly help me to resolve this issue that has been going on way too long?
