Windows Vista Update

I just purchased this laptop. I visit a non smoking help site frequently.

Its a support site for non smokers. I cant open and read any posts in the forums....nor can I post in any of the forums...the icon just keeps spinning around and the program wont open.

I also get kicked out of the chat room on this site consistantly...that never happened to me before using vista....any help would be great...thanks...Oh yeah also ...

the serial number on the bottom of the laptop is obvious...

Ive tried to register and it keeps telling me Im entering the wrong number...and it IS correct!....sheesh....lotsa probs
