I recently bought a new computer. As everyone is aware 99% of computers have Windows Vista on them now and finding one without is pretty much next to impossible.
I decided to go ahead and buy the computer thinking I would eventually adjust to using Vista because really - how different could it be? Granted most of the reviews I read were not good reviews but it couldn't be as bad as all that because if you know a little bit about computers you should be able to function in the Vista environment right?
WRONG! I have had a headache named VISTA for the past week. First I had to get rid of all the junk loaded on to my desktop that wasn't needed. Who needs a clock in the task bar and a clock on the desktop?
Who needs a sidebar with sticky notes? I can just easily put post it notes on my computer. Next I had to set up my internet connection. Wait - first I had to find where to set it up then I had to figure out what all that other stuff was such as network discovery.
I don't need my network discovered. I already know where it is thank you very much. I finally got the network "discovered" to Vista's liking and much to my dismay it got lost again the next night.
So I had to go on another "scavenger hunt" for the network that was discovered but lost again. That took several hours of my time.
I could go on and on but the bottom line is I will be uninstalling Vista once I can find Windows XP again. I am sure someone out there still sells it even if it will cost me an arm and leg to buy it.
I do not recommend this product to anyone...I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy for that matter unless they have plenty of ibuprofen for the headache they are sure to get.
