HP DV6000 Internet Explorer Stop Responding

I have an HP Laptop with Vista Premium.
When using Internet Explorer it will all the sudden stop responding.
The cursor will move but when you click on items, nothing happens.
I have to close all explorer windows and reopen to get it to work.
Any help is appreciated.
