Comment http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/moviemaker/create/faq.mspx Scroll down to where it says "What do I do if Windows Movie Maker stops responding...." Follow the registry edit procedure. Reopen movie maker. It worked for me, & I tried EVERYTHING prior to finding this, Good Luck!
