Okay, maybe Vista if you run ONE app.
by: Ken Thompson

I moved from XP when I bought a new, BIG, Alienware system.

Most all my apps are mainstream but I will have as many as 10 open at a time.

I get at least 2 -3 sporatic BSOD a day. Usually it is not a recurring reason and often it seems to occur with different apps running, Or the system at idle, OR even at startup.

If I knew I was gonna have this much trouble with Vista I would have stayed with XP on 3.4 Dell XPS.

Vista seems to be a piece of junk at this time and I'm sorry I fell for tehhype and bought it!

Vista better?
by: Anonymous

I have found two that will not install, even in compatability mode.
1-American Medical Assoc. Family Medical Guide.
2-Random House Webster's Unabridged Dictionary.
I contacted the authors and they tried to help, but we got nowhere.
I also use Ad-Muncher that worked great in XP but I must turn off UAC or Protection mode in Vista to get it to run.
When you crash vista, it is a real bear to get it running good again.
