I am a Computer Information Systems teacher and require my students to email and submit all of their work to me.
Before classes began in August, I purchased a Toshiba Laptop from Circuit City. It works great if I don't have to use the Internet (which, of course, I do).
It took forever for me to open anything on the web, so:
1) I first called Circuit City's tech to set up my wireless connection (which I had already done, but thought I had set it up incorrectly)--load time did not increase; however, I was out $100 for the tech.
2) I had our IS person look at the laptop--still no increase in load time.
3) I had it sent to the Circuit City main service office--the technician was helpful, but achieved the same results as the other two service people (by this time, they would not refund my money, so I now I am stuck with a computer that cannot access the web in a timely manner).
4) I now have taken my computer to a professional (for $200)--he took off Vista and installed Windows XP, but of course, drivers for my system are hard to find; once he completes the job, I will not be able to use my computer's camera and fingerprint password program.
It is now December 6, I have not been able to use my computer for 4 months. I would like my money back so I can buy an Apple computer.
