Need video drivers for Panasonic digital camcorder

I can not connect my Panasonic digital camcorder to my laptop with Vista.
Apparently there are no video drivers available for Vista.
I checked with Panasonic, they said I need to use Firewire.
Unfortunatley, my laptop does not have a firewire port.
It worked great with my last computer on XP OS with the USB port.
