I run vista ultimate and think it works fine.
However, your argument for why vista is a good OS is very specific. "Games working great, applications running great" can be said about OSX or event linux units.
Remind yourself that you do have a high-performance computer.. much faster than the average home owner's computer. I don't disagree with you with what you are saying, but if you expect anyone to believe your argument, you had better come up with concrete evidence and supporting arguments as to why certain improvements made by vista were necessary or will prove to be great resources for future computing.
Saying "People, it's TIME TO LET XP GO." will not win over any XP user.
What would help? Screenshots comparing and contrasting XP to Vista.
Arguing why UAC is good. Some concrete evidence of better security through Vista (though I hardly can see any online). I can keep going but my time is somewhat valuable.
