When I bought my Dell computer loaded with Vista Ultimate I was told there were no compatibility issues since all the patches had been released by Microsoft.
Nothing could be further from the truth. It took 8 days on the phone waiting on tech support and two level 3 administrator's to get the computer to work. Since then various programs still don't work properly even though they are Vista compatible.
The program frequently crashes. It is not compatible with MSN/Hotmail which is really strange considering MSN and Microsoft are a part of the same company.
This OS is even worse than Windows ME in terms of working properly. Although very nice looking and more user friendly what Microsoft did in releasing this program amounts to out right fraud.
If it wasn't for the fact that all the Fortune 500 companies I do business with are on a Windows environment I would just get rid of it completely.
I will never upgrade my businesses to Vista since XP runs much better. No one else is upgrading either so it's unless in terms of my business. My next purchases will be with Apple. I have had it with Microsoft and Dell.
This is coming from a Shareholder in Microsoft for the last 22 years. I also own Apple's stock but no where near the same amount. My Notebook works perfectly with everything.
The tech support from Apple is more than happy to help me. When I go to the Apple store they work with me to show all the ways I can maximize the use while sharing a coffee.
Great customer service and support their product.
Microsoft has many voice promts, wait on the phone and have to pay to fix everything even though I just bought the OS. Absolutely insane and insulting.
Shame on you for putting out this program and shoving it down the consumers throats.
