Pray to the computer Gods that you don't change anything in the computer, add any 3rd party programs, printers, anything...... It boots right up out of the box and if you're not using much other than your e-mail (depending on whether Vista likes your provider or not) then you'll probably be fine.
I have 3 - a Toshiba laptop that's primarily for travel and little more than e-mail, no problems. Bought my hubby a HP system for Christmas and he plays solitaire, uses yahoo for his e-mail through internet explorer and that's about it - no problems.
The first one I bought I'm still struggling with and that's mine. A Dell. Not sure if Microsoft hates Dell or me but I'm still struggling with the graphic applications and e-mail servers along with most everything else. I'm still trying to get it to shut down correctly consistently - should be a pretty easy operation since Microsoft has been shutting down computers for years.....
Glad your experience has been wonderful so far - hope it continues!
