I have the same problem
by: Anonymous

I have this very same problem. The only warning I get is that the "Battery Power Indicator" in my system tray starts to flash when the power is critically low. It is not easily visible and I would never notice it unless I were to specifically look for it. Ideally a warning should be such that it would be nearly impossible to miss, like a big message popping up in the center of my screen accompanied by a loud beep.

I thought maybe this was a problem with my computer and so I called the machine manufacturer's tech support line. They informed me that my laptop is behaving exactly as it's supposed to. The flashing of the battery power indicator icon in the system tray is infact the only warning that I am supposed to get.
