Windows Vista Update

Post Load problem

I have had problems with my laptop for some time. I sent it to HP who replaced the mother board which only fixed some of the problems.

After much frustration, I backedup my data using Vista "Backup and Restore" function and then re-installed Vista Home Premium from my partitioned HD. This process reformatted the HD.

No problem right? I had the data backed up to an external HD. Now it tells me that I don't have any backups and obviouly won't restore my data.

I know its there. How can I get Vista to restore the backup files?
