Problem syncing my Palm TX w/Vista Desktop Update

After going to Palm.com and having 4 "chats" I am still unable to sync my Palm TX with my computer.
I downloaded Vista's program but when I go to sync it says there is no driver. Then it asks if I want Microsoft to go on the internet and try to find something to help me. I click "YES" then it says it cannot help me it can't find anything.

I am frustrated that even now after 4 attemps (during one of the attemps I ended up with "blank screen", the screen goes totally white and I don't know how to stop that) I still can't sync my Palm TX.

I am going to try another chat with Palm.com but I can't say I have a lot of confidence in their ability to solve my problem.

They have made me do so many things that I am sure I'll have to bring my computer to be restored and ask them if they can make my sync problem go away.
