I have attempted to download Bluetooth Driver by clicking Startup/Control Panel/Network and Internet/Bluetooth Radio Properties/Set up a Bluetooth enabled device/Bluetooth Settings.
A small screen pops: Bluetooth Radio Properties, which has only three tabs: Options/COM Ports/Hardware.
I have clicked on each tab. The first one I clicked on an empty box "Allow Bluetooth Devices to find this computer".
Then a smaller screen pops up with an yellow, upside down yield sign with an exclamation point inside "An error occured while Windows was saving your settings.
The Bluetooth device might be unplugged. The following settings were not saved: Discoverability Settings/Connection Settings". Nothing happens.
The second and third tabs are empty of any information other than the headings.
Then, I clicked on the Bluetooth icon that is now showing on the Startup.
Activity starts up with the User Account Control screen popping up requesting Auto Setup for Vista be allowed, which I allow by clicking the 'continue' button.
Then a small screen appears: "Installing Bluetooth driver... Please wait".
The blue downloading bar loads for about four bars (approx. 15% of the entire download bar), when another small screen appears: "Please plug in the Bluetooth device and click OK button".
I thought the Bluetooth device was already pre-installed in my 2007 Toshiba Sattelite P205 which came with Windows Vista.
At any rate, I did plug in my mobile phone which is activated for Bluetooth and even states on the mobile phone "Your phone is now discoverable."
Under that statement is a Device box that has a plus sign "Add device" and beneath that has option buttons for Media Sync, USB Drive and Just Charge.
I have tried all three options, and AutoPlay does appear for the first two options. However, nothing happens.
The "Installing Bluetooth driver...." just appears to be frozen, with no further activity.
I truly would appreciate any resolution you might be able to provide me. If you would like me to attach screenshots, please let me know. Thank you, Warren Carpenter
