Windows Vista Update

Problem with Vista update

Hi,
I read a lot about this issue but I want to know if someone was in a similar position like me.

I had high speed internet (cable) with vista windows. All was perfect. I changed my town ans also the internet provider.

Now, the internet is DSL (using the phone line). Since then, I have problems with updating the vista, I can enter on sites like msn, microsoft, hotmail, also the windows defender is not updating as well.

The error after trying updating is 80072EE2. I tried to fix this but with no success.
Please, could anyone help me?
