Windows Vista Update

SYSTEM RESTORE ERROR AND DIRECTORY NAME INVALID

Im using a windows vista (entertainment PC) of HP and now suddenly i've started encountering an error with it.

Whenever i open any file or change settings (which is run as administrator), it shows an error saying "directory name invalid".

All the other files (who don't require administrator permission) r opening. It seems to me that im not getting access to the administrator account, though im only d administrator.....

Now when i tried system restore, it initializes and goes through all da processes bt finally shows an error:

The same error shows, whatevah restore point I use....Im going mad! someone plzz help...

PS: Im not being able to restore my system using a administrator account...when i enter any password it says "The administrator account has been disabled" (though i dont know da password).
