Windows Vista Update

Vista & Acer...not a good combination and one that I'd never recomend.

I have a Acer Aspire 5100 laptop w/Vista pre-installed and it's been a nightmare! it's a couple of years old , I guess, but have had problems with compatibility issues since the get-go.

I have problems playing games and watching video..dvds, youtube, online news reports, whatever....it doesn't play correctly. Its' slower than molasses! Shuts down out of the blue. Overheats? Connectivity issues, sometimes.

Crashes at least once a week, Fatal dump messages abound! Fickle Fickle Fickle! I've had problems with the battery charging system, Acer sent me replacements early on but that didnt' copletely resolve the issue, apparently.

I've heard that there was actually a class action suit filed against Acer for selling product with an incompatible operating system? Truth?
