Vista is very good...! And for those who dont like Vista, you should probably read this First...!!

Hi Fellows,
I`m a Software Developer currently pursuing my Microsoft Certifications. Let me give you a clear idea of Vista.
Windows Vista is a cool new operating system by Microsoft after a long time. Its simple and great to use.
Microsoft enhanced the existing good features of XP and added better features and innovations to move forward. Its really a new start.
Vista gives you the interface and the ease of use of a MAC and the great diverse platform of Windows. To be honest,i liked it.
It has Direct X 10 capabilities which makes it great for Gamers and
its good as an XP replacement in India.
Comes preloaded in most of the laptops these days which is a good way to promote Genuine software.
According to me Microsoft did right in making four versions of Vista for users to choose from according to their requirements and budget. you can anyways tweak the Operating Sysytem and add third - party software to make Vista Basic work like Business or Ultimate.
Many people say that vista consumes a lot of memory and is too slow on their computers.
Now, as a matter of fact, i do agree that Business and Ultimate editions require 1GB of RAM memory for it to function smoothly (Do keep in mind that 1GB is only for the OS to perform properly).
When we install third party applications that require heavy RAM and Processor requirements..then it is obvious that Vista will run slowly and that is why people recommend to have 2GB of RAM for Business and Ultimate editions....then only will it function smoothly and be fast.
If you people want to stick to only 1GB RAM then i recommend you install Home Basic and Home Premium Versions only...so that there wont be any performance flaws at all. I also recommend you have your existing Pentium 4 processors (if at all) to be upgraded to Dual Core, Core 2 Duo ones for optimum performance, since Microsoft commented in many developer magazines that Vista is optimised for Dual Core Processors.
Belive me guys, i have a computer with 2GB RAM, 1.83 GHz Core 2 Duo processor and 160GB harddisk and i had installed Vista Ultimate Trial for 30 days and it worked flawlessly, just like XP Pro working before (Fast), even though i had Softwares like Visual studio 2005, Sql Server, Nero 8, F- Secure Antivirus...etc., and the new SP1 upgrade has made it better by fixing certain security related issues and a few bugfixes.
And anyways, if not now you`ll have to upgrade your exisiting XP Systems to Vista since XP support is only going to be extended till 2010 or 11 at the most..! So go for Vista or else wait for Windows 7.
