Vista Update

I have Vista 32-bit Ultimate. The updater refuse to download the updates.
I shut down my firewall and load the program as an Administrator and yet the system refuse to download the update.
Is there any other way to get the update other than usig the updater provide by Vista? Or is there a fix/solution for this.
