Vista won't finish downloads

I get no error codes. Every time I try to download it gets to a point and just stops.

I tried to save phot attachments to "MY PICTURES", hit 'save', and the download starts and then stops.

It just freezes. This happens with every application except when I download games from RealArcade (I am a member there).
