When I connect my Zune mp3 player Zune says connected but computer doesn't

How can I get Microsoft Media Player to recognize the Zune where it should when I want to sync.

When I look in the Sync area it isn't listed there either. It is listed in the device manager. And I have the correct type of USB ports.

So I need help getting the computer to recognize that the Zune is connected.

At first it automatically synced everything in my Media Library (Music), but never showed connected on computer.

I also cannot Drag and drop music into the area in the Zune program where it says to drag media to here.

It also synced my pictures because the Zune program found them and then they were able to be synced.

I don't understand the problem.
