Windows Vista Update

Windows Explorer in Vista does not show details

Does anybody know why Vista does not show file details when searching folders with the "Details" option for explorer? I can show the lists, thumbnails, icons, etc., but when I choose details, I can only see the file names rather than the details (date, file size, etc.).
