Windows vista basic - a real life nightmare

one of those lame afternoons, bored and not much to be done laying lazily on the couch and watching Tv, was interupted by my Mrs...lets go shopping.


Shopping??? argh she got me there and i just pretended that i was sleeping.she knew of all the things i hated i hated the most was shopping with her... just imagine answering a questionb.. will this fit me? you just dont know what to say as it can mean fat or ugly...

then something from all her words caught my ears... electronics shop is nearby..... i jumped up and washed my face and was in the car in 2 minutes... I dropped my mrs in the mall and went around looking for some good stuff at electronics store.

one pc got my eye, not only it was cheap but also elegant using. ohhhhh my god it had Vista preloaded on it?. """" ran up to my mrs and asked her to give me my card (hey guys i also cant save so give my money to my wife to control)to buy that pc... didnt take much time for me to get her into it.. faster net, new Pc and Windows vista, thats like keeping with the fashion. i truly thing that the word fashion got her. a smiley assistant (probably was getting happy of commission that he is getting) generously processed all sales lingo's and even helped to put my new 5 kg LAPTOP in my car.

went home, noticed the brand first time...COMPAQ... what ever brand they should work all same right! thats all i though... futher investigation showed me AMD64 Athlon X2..pssst what does that mean??? hmmm any way, pluged in the power cable and pressed power button... holding my breath i just didnt wanted to miss any thing from the start for expriencing vista.

WINDOWS VISTA BASIC RUNNING SETUP NOW. hmm preloaded means that now i know. well got all setup done and ohhh my god service pack available... what a deal. i got my vista "basic" updated. HP updates available...update now. i pressed yes. 1% 2% 3 %....100% complete... CANT UPDATE THE DOWNLOADS... what i just lost 2 MB's of my internet.

proudly asked my missus to hand me over my sony camera and my sony mp3 player. lets sort them out and then play around later. "Windows is looking for driver" ... windows found driver...but encountered problem and was not able to load. hmmmmmm what to do now. check the net? i did. a new driver was available for my devices to be run on vista basic. size 66mb. okay i do have to get it right! after download and runnung the setup, restarting the computer, still didnt fixed the problem.... fear gripped me now how will i get my equipments updated.....and the question stil l remains the same.

Snipping tool aaahaaa does wonders. just did a test for cutting signatures and parking on pages. looks alright...

no need to carry any discs around. that means if i format my my hard disk i will loose all licence and program...

ultimate choice of me selling my pc (win xP) and buying a compac amd 64 laptop has cost me more than i can say. just cant say more as my spine gets a chilling feeling of the monopoly way of getting the money out of people....
