windows vista home premium

I'm looking for answer to this problem, I got a laptop pavilion with windows vista home premium.
I change the norton antivirus to another antivirus, now I can't connect to the internet at all.
If I unnistall the antivirus my computer connect to internet but as soon i install any antivirus can't connect to the internet.
This don't make sense.
