Windows Vista..Not too good.

by Bill
(Palm Harbor, FL, USA)

I recently bought a new Lenovo computer with Vista home premium on it.

Vista is pretty, but then came the problems. Certain software I own for XP will not install on Vista.

Vista does not have a driver for my web-cam. One time, all my start menu icons (in Vista) disappeared and never came back. I had to reinstall Vista.

The fix to these problems was to install my old copy of XP and have a dual boot system. I mainly boot into XP now, for functionality. Occasionally, I boot Vista to see if it is getting better with updates, it is not, yet.

I know that it is a new operating system and these things usually happen with a new operating system, but these problems seem to be more abundant with Vista. I imagine that I will get used to Vista, in time.
