in my opnion i think as net system Administrator in my job we have many problems of security in net with any OS windows, but for game is better XP for Security is the best is OS Linux.

What idiot speced that machine? Who builds a computer with only 1 GB of RAM these days? And then they installed Vista??

Vista should have a minimum of 2GB for Vista Home WITHOUT Aero interface and should have at least 4GB for any other Vista version.

Memory is ridiculously cheap and it's foolish to short one of the most important elements of a computer!!! A computer will run faster with a slower processor and more memory rather than a faster processor and too little memory.

Your PC is undoubtedly strangled by inadequate memory resources and it's thrashing around unable to achieve optimal throughput because you're starving it. XP had a smaller memory footprint but even then only the most meager system would bother running it on 1 GB of RAM.

Spend an extra fifty bucks and get yourself adequate memory and tell whoever configured that machine for you they need to consider a career in food service.
